The purpose of this survey:

  1. To gather information about pain on long distance rides and what solutions riders use to deal or eliminate the pain.

  2. Find out if traditional bike riders have switched to a recumbent to alleviate or minimize pain. If not, why not.

  3. Find out if recumbent riders have switched to a traditional bike to alleviate or minimize pain. If not, why not.

Some definitions:

Recumbent can be a two or more wheel bicycle with the rider in a reclined position.

"Traditional bike" is used as the catch all for all the other kinds of bikes riders use on brevets such as racing road bike, hybrid, mtb, diamond frame, CF, etc.
